In keeping with the grand tradition of Virginia Beach dive bars, the story about Lynnhaven Pub includes both beer and surprisingly good food, a combination that is somehow native to dive bars in the area. In business for a handful of decades, Lynnhaven Pub is tucked away in a small strip mall in a part of town marked with quite a few of them, set back from the main road just far enough with a sign just small enough to escape discovery.

As the narrow, red sign outside suggests, Lynnhaven Pub is a narrow Virginia Beach dive bar, shotgun style with a handful of seats opposite a main bar area, pool table in back. The signature feature at Lynnhaven Pub is no doubt the beer selection, an expansive set of bottles, cans and rotating draft options that far exceeds the typical dive bar offering. There are some quirks, of course, the men’s room notably lacking a sink but the combination of immense beer selection and surprisingly good food makes for a satisfying, divey experience.
